MC MATT REED
Jon Richardson's career is on the up - you may recognise
him as Alan Carr's support on his 2006 tour, or from his
BBC6 music show, or from his recent Best Newcomer nomination
at the Edinburgh Fringe. Also appearing is Dave Twentyman,
an affable lad from St Helens with a charming improvisational
style.
MC Matt Reed is back with
his Mackem cheek and a bright new comic pops up in the middle.

The North-East's
biggest Comedy Club is coming to Hartlepool's Dockfest
in July!
Organised by Hartlepool Borough Council, plans are
now in full swing for a special 700 capacity comedy

followed by the now legendary Big Mouth Comedy Club
on the evening.
Featuring: SEAN LOCK,
IVAN BRACKENBURY, LEE NELSON, MC JASON COOK
|
|
|
Well how's
this for a gig! Captain of Channel 4's hugely successful
show 8/10 Cats, Sean Lock brings his hilariously surreal
comedy to Dockfest. A hyperactive imagination, crazy imagery
and insightful commentary on the human condition. Our absolute
favourite stand up. Also playing is 'funnier than an entire
series of Alan Partridge' Ivan Brackenbury (The Telegraph)
and chav charmer Lee Nelson. MC for this very special show
is Jason Cook.

We are
over the moon about this one! Quite simply the biggest
new comedy star to emerge in recent years returning
to the grand setting of Middlesbrough Town Hall's
main auditorium - a venue where he took the roof off
last time he appeared.
This man has moved effortlessly from playing small
club shows to selling out arenas, and Michael McIntyre's
Comedy Roadshow - his new, prime time show for BBC1
- is a runaway hit with

audiences and
reviewers alike. But he loved his last gig in Middlesbrough
so much that he's chosen us for an exclusive, one-off warm-up
prior to main leg of his forthcoming tour. How good is that?!
Michael was nominated for Best Live Stand Up at the 2008
British Comedy Awards, performed twice at the Royal Variety
Show and his DVD has become the highest selling debut stand-up
DVD of all time. Nothing more to say but pick up the phone...

Known for
his socialist politics coupled with a very English
delivery, Jeremy Hardy is best known for his radio
work - on The News Quiz and his long running series
Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation.
His unmistakable nasal drawl with lashings of dry
wit is in turn acerbic, lewd and endearing. And while
other comics who use politics as the bedrock of their
act sometimes fail to connect with their audience,
|
|
|
Jeremy's radical
views are sweetened with the charm that his Radio 4 listeners
adore.
A true political activist, he is as famous for his documentary
Jeremy Hardy vs the Israeli Army as for being fired as a
columnist for The Guardian for, allegedly, supporting the
Socialist Alliance in his writings.

only Jeremy would get himself shot at.' Mark Steel.
