"Its always delightful
to behold the birth of a new star. With his warm yet
neurotic energy and aptitude for clean, intelligent
one-liners, McIntyre is just the man the help banish
those incoming recession blues" - The Telegraph
Michael's brilliantly engaging delivery and effortless
rapport with the audience have led to him being hailed
as one of the best stand-up talents currently performing
in the UK. Audiences can expect an evening of personal
anecdotes, observation and sheer unadulterated wit
as Michael forgoes the gimmicks and gets on with what
he does best - making people laugh. |

so!

at Catch 22:
Greg Cook is a gruff working class comedian who cuts
an unforgettable figure. Looking at him, you wouldn't believe
he used to be a lawyer. 'Law and comedy is essentially the
same gig,' says Greg, 'telling lies for money. But this
way I don't have to wear a tie.'
Support comes from The German
Comedy Ambassador to The United Kingdom, Henning When.
This is not the easiest of jobs because the Germans allegedly
do not have a sense of humour. Henning does not find that
funny. Expect a deconstructed look at comedy in true German
style, Henning's attention to even the tiniest detail takes
you to anally retentive and beyond. Totally brilliant.
MC Jason Cook returns and as always, we support new
comedy in the middle section with a new act.

Not only ultra-charming MC Matt Reed,
and fresh new face Lloyd Langford - [one of the best new
acts we've seen in ages], but also 'awesome' [The Independent]
electric guitar-wielding headliner Rob Deering. This man
is probably the only comedian who regularly works the crowd
into such a frenzy that they end up invading the stage.
Beat that!

One of our favourite comics returns with a blisteringly
funny new one man show about marriage, class, the
youth of today and anything else that strikes him
as humorous. Although might end up doing an hour about
going to the Opera... Oh, no he's already done that!
His wit won deafening cheers and feet stomping

Jimmy Carr is not just a TV star. Hes won awards,
released chart-topping DVDs (theres a new one
out this November), written a best-selling book and
broken box office records by performing to over 500,000
people in the last three years.
He may be the hardest working man in comedy.

Jimmy says This show is exactly the same as last years
except every single word. Its rude, crude and
offensive but those arent the only reasons youll
enjoy it.
Book early to avoid disappointment (or alternatively lower
your expectations).

at Catch 22:
We welcome the superbly named Anthony Johnston Aethelwulf
Sulla Law, or as we know him
Tony
Law. Imagine if Harry
Potter was a Canadian non wizard in his mid thirties who
writes very funny jokes with his big hands. That's Tony
Law says aficionado and comedy legend Sean Lock.
Support for the night comes in
the shape of Vince Atta. Some say it's wonderful,
we find it odd that Vince manages to include the following
in his set; students, spanish horses in a kitchen, psychotic
London ex-girlfriends, pointless racial pride and the advantages
of an alcoholic mother.
Jason Cook returns for his 3rd gig on the trot and
we'll chuck in a fresh face to make up the middle section
of the evening.

Tonight's
headliner Rob Rouse will be a familiar face to many,
after appearances on TV shows such as the Friday Night Project,
8 out of 10 Cats, and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. The
Sunday Times called him 'a future star', Time Out 'a born
clown', the Guardian just plain 'phenomenal'. Who are we
to disagree?
This could be the perfect way to kick off your festive
season, but be warned...we're expecting an early sellout,
so please buy well in advance to avoid disappointment.
