	Best known for being cellist with Antony & The Johnsons, Julia Kent has also collaborated and performed alongside the likes of Rufus Wainwright, Devendra Banhart and Angels of Light to name but a few. It is, however, with her solo work that she really comes into her own. She holed up in her Lower East Side NYC apartment to make a record inspired by touring and the disjunctions of travel. Incorporating multi-tracked cello, omnichord, and field recordings from airports around the world, the result was a beautiful and melancholy set of compositions, full of aching romanticism, rich melodicism and detailed arrangements. Julia Kent epitomises everything that we love best about the Cosmos Stage.
