20 years time. Have a peek at the History section if you want
to check back to some of the acts that have appeared in the
past few years.
But we don't like to get too caught up in the past - this
festival is all about the here and now.
So
Dive in - have a good read, follow the links, have a listen,
fall in love - it's that easy.Enjoy the show! |

Here we go again!
Another lucky bag chock-full of great free music. And
this year it's more of a mash-up than ever before - from artists
who have been making music for decades to brand new bands
barely out of the wrapper. From shouty punk to gentle acoustica,
sunshine ska to guitar pop and beyond.
There's a great new site for the main stage, a brand new Ten
Feet Tall stage in the
|
|
Town Hall's secret Courtyard, our best-ever acoustic line-up,
and more variety than ever before.
So, you know the drill by now:
This bill is laced with future superstars taking their first
tentative steps on the road to fame, alongside bands whose
songs will live in only a select few people's hearts forever.
Bands that will thrill you to bits on the day, then disappear
out of sight for good alongside bands you'll still be listening

and that drinking in the street could lead to your arrest.
Now that WOULD spoil your day out for sure, so don't do it!
A security team will be checking all bags at the main site
gate, and anybody found carrying alcohol will be REFUSED ENTRY.
Thanks for your support in helping keep this festival safe,
fun and family-friendly. |
|
IMPORTANT:
NEW ALCOHOL POLICY
FOR THIS YEAR
In consultation with festival-goers we have decided that
the policy of allowing the audience to bring their own alcohol
to Music Live has begun to affect the security and the atmosphere
of the festival.
The new site will have a wide range of fully licensed, well-
|
|
regulated and reasonably priced bars, but you WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED to bring the usual six cases of Stella / bottles
of vodka / or whatever into the secure area. Too much of
that stuff + a load of sunshine and things can start to
unravel a bit - sure you can understand.
We would also like to remind you that other than the licensed
festival site, Middlesbrough town centre remains an alcohol
free zone

Please be patient and respect the difficult job of the venue
stewards.
Are refreshments
available on site?
Yes - there will be bars and a range of catering
outlets all around the site. A percentage of the profits from
these concessions help to fund the event, so go on - support
Music Live - buy Johnny an ice cream!
|
|
A few house rules
This is a family event with a zero policy towards drug
use.
Please drink in moderation.
Please help us keep the site tidy. Our cleansing team will
be distributing free refuse bags, and there will be bins situated
across the main arena.
No stagediving - for your own safety, and that of others.
We've supplied loads of extra toilets
this year, so please respect
our neighbours and don't abuse their gardens.
|
|
Lost Children / First Aid
Please see map for location
of Lost Children and First Aid points.
Do I Need Tickets / Wristbands?
No - you will be able to move freely between
the stages, but please note that for safety reasons each
venue, both in and outdoor, has its own limited
audience capacity, andonce full will operate on a 'one in
one out' system. At times you may have to queue.
