So, I guess you're all wanting to know about this secret gig over at mima.

Well, if we tell you - you've got to promise to keep it to yourself, yeah?

Have we got a deal? OK, read on...

Basically, at three fifteen on Sunday afternoon, there's going to be a bit of a guerilla gig (admittedly a very well planned guerilla gig!) on the roof of mima. Yeah, you read right - the roof of mima!

As soon as Pama International strike their last chord on the 96.6TFM Main Stage, turn to your right and you'll see our special guests up on the roof...

We thought long and hard about who we wanted to play this gig but there was only ever one band in the running. No strangers to guerilla activity, they made the national papers with their cheeky "fake" Banksy stunt last time they played in Middlesbrough - not to mention conning the Gazette into thinking it really WAS Banksy! That "I AM BANKSY" t-shirt really did work a treat.

They're not just about sneaky publicity stunts though, they've actually got cracking tunes too - tunes that you're likely to have heard if you've been to any clubs with Fasion Fil or Burnsey DJing recently, those lads don't half like the new single.

The Guardian reckons they're like "Kraftwerk meets Human League" whilst indie-legend Clint Boon said "I love this. I'm calling it electro-cowboy!"

Electro cowboy? Whatever.

They've played Glastonbury, they've been remixed by Tom Vek, they've won the XFM Unsigned competition and they've just inked a deal with Stiff Records - home of Devo, Madness and The Enemy amongst others. Oh, and the singer's from Yarm.

We are, of course, talking about Eskimo Disco.

But remember, keep it to yourself - it's a secret.
