THE ZUTONS
8.45pm - 10.00pm

myspace.com/thezutons

With three top ten albums and a string of top forty sing-a-long-able singles, including You Will You Won't, Valerie and Always Right Behind You, tremendous Liverpool indie-rock five-piece The Zutons are pretty much the perfect festival headliners.

Formed in 2001, the band's music has often proved difficult to categorise with a range of influences such as Talking Heads, Devo, Sly & The Family Stone, Dexy's Midnight Runners and Madness all being thrown into the melting pot.

Working with legendary producer Ian Broudie, they've received a plethora of plaudits including Mercury Prize nominations and plenty of positive column inches from every music mag imagineable - not to mention crowd pleasing festival appearances all over the world!

  THE SUNSHINE UNDERGROUND
7.35pm - 8.20pm

myspace.com/thesunshineunderground

The Sunshine Underground burst overground courtesy of absolute-killer dance-floor filler tracks like 'Commercial Breakdown' and 'Put You In Your Place' and support slots with everybody from Klaxons to The Happy Mondays to LCD Soundsystem. Crowd pleasing performances at Glastonbury, T In The Park and Leeds/Reading cemented the band's place in UK indie's Premier League and with a new album set to be unleashed before the end of the year, there's no chance of relegation anytime soon for these chaps.

"A relentless assault on the synapses like a British Rapture. By the time the encore swings round they've taken the funk-punk rhythms a stage further, wigging out on a chaotic 'Raise The Alarm' like Led Zep gone new rave..." NME

  EBONY BONES
6.25pm - 7.10pm

myspace.com/ebonybones

Despite her relative youth, Ebony Bones is a showbiz veteran having starred as Yasmin Matthews in Channel 5's infamous soap "Family Affairs." Of her time on the show, Ebony says "they knew I was heading to music when I brought in my laptop and padded the dressing room for soundproofing." We're very relieved that she did head into music and we're not the only ones - everybody from Timbaland to Zane Lowe to Massive Attack to Barack Obama (!) to Basement Jaxx to The Slits are big fans of her M.I.A.-esque Afro-punk.

"The sound of X-Ray Spex getting hammered with Derrick May and Girls Aloud, there'll be no stopping this woman. Would you dare stand in her way?" The Observer

  MASTER SHORTIE
5.20pm - 6.00pm

myspace.com/mastershortie

One of BBC's "Sound Of 2009" nominees (alongside Little Boots, VV Brown, Lady GaGa etc), Master Shortie recently wowed the crowds as main support for Basement Jaxx and he's also toured with the likes of Hadouken and The King Blues. Despite being just 19, he's more than ready to unleash his molten mix of The Rapture, Outkast, DMX, Usher, Klaxons, Prince, Axel F and drum'n'bass on the world. The question is, is the world ready for such an unquantifiable boy genius as MS?!

"Tipped as the next star of British hip-hop, the fluorescent Master Shortie spans the roles of grime MC, cool club kid and teen-friendly pop singer, with a dash of indie influence thrown in." BBC Sound Of 2009

ZION - A TRIBUTE TO BOB MARLEY
4.00pm - 5.00pm

www.ziontheband.com

A festival's not a festival without a dash of reggae and we have our friends at WorldFest to thank for this spectacular nine piece tribute to Bob Marley.

Bob Marley was not just a Jamaican singer, guitarist, songwriter and activist. He was without question the most widely known performer of reggae music the world has ever seen, and is regarded by many as a prophet of the Rastafari Movement.

Zion capture all the great man's power and energy, and relive the magic of all his memorable hits: "I shot the Sheriff", "No Woman, No Cry", "Jammin", "Redemption Song", "One Love" and many more recreated in a manner that Bob himself would've been proud of. Marley magic all the way.

RAYGUN
3.00pm - 3.40pm

myspace.com/raygunofficial

Having recently been hand picked by Pink to support her on her sold out UK arena dates, we reckon that London rockers Raygun are going to be MASSIVE. Their swagger is made for sold out stadium gigs and those tunes, cor blimey… those tunes! Huge pop songs that sit somewhere between Kiss, The Steve Miller Band and The Killers; admittedly that sounds like quite a peculiar place to sit, but believe us, it's the sassiest and most exciting seat in town!

"They summon up the razzle of new wave and the dazzle of Scissor Sisters' disco, the filthiness of INXS, as well as the rock nous of a band long ready to start a revolution." The Guardian

VAGABOND (change from brochure)
2.00pm - 2.40pm

myspace.com/vagabond

Vagabond are a five-piece hailing from Uruguay, Denmark, east London and Huddersfield and they've just signed to the newly revived Geffen label. Their old-fashioned blue-eyed soul will appeal to lovers of "smoov" balladry and lapsed soul fans who remember old-style R&B. Comparisons to Toploader, Wet Wet Wet and Simply Red are perhaps a bit unfair, so don't let that put you off - just check out their top pop tunes on the ol' myspace and you'll soon see why James Morrison hand picked the band to support him on his recent sold out UK tour…

"If Duffy can successfully repackage 60s soul, there's no reason why Vagabond can't do the same for the 70s variety." The Guardian

WILL AND THE PEOPLE
1.00pm - 1.40pm

myspace.com/willandthepeople

With influences including Sublime, Bob Marley, Cat Stevens, Muse, Crowded House, Talking Heads, Rage Against The Machine and Bob Dylan, you wouldn't necessarily expect Will and The People to sound how they do actually sound. "How do they sound?" we hear you ask... well, let us tell you! They sound like a band who write rather splendid ska and reggae tinged pop hits. They sound like a band who write the perfect main stage festival feel good Summer sing-a-long songs. They sound like a good time. They're coming to us on the back of touring with some band called Girls Aloud and they've also recently toured with The Hoosiers and supported The Police at Hyde Park Calling. Lucky swines…

GENERAL FIASCO
1.00pm - 1.40pm

myspace.com/generalfiasco

Belfast's finest new indie-rockers General Fiasco are what you could describe as a "hot tip". In the past we've brought you the likes of Bloc Party, The Kaiser Chiefs and Editors (to name but a few!) whilst they've been under the hot tip umbrella... well, we've got a funny feeling that General Fiasco could well follow in their footsteps.

They'll be playing for y'all on the back of amazing performances at SXSW in Texas and tours with One Night Only, The Pigeon Detectives and The Wombats. Nice. Their catchy-as-can-be indie-rock anthems remind us here at Music Live HQ of a combination of much missed Geordie rockers Yourcodenameis:milo and moustache wielding Yanks We Are Scientists. Quite a combo.
