At the risk of
blowing our own trumpet
what a peach of a line-up!
We were totally spoiled
for choice in terms of the sheer quantity of great new acts that
were available to play this year's festival, and this is without
a doubt the best line-up of emerging talent that we've been able
to assemble since we first started eight years ago.
A host of exciting
new pop talent from all over the world. On your doorstep, for
free, courtesy of Middlesbrough Council and the generosity of
our sponsors.
How good is that?!
We like to keep this
event fresh, so as usual we've tweaked the format of the event
a little. Look out for our new World Music stage, an extra venue
dedicated to good-time Soul and Blues, the chance to star on stage
yourself in the Xbox Rock Band zone, and a proper full-on fairground.
We've also moved back upstairs into the
magnificent main auditorium of the Town Hall, and shifted the
Rock Stage outdoors into the Courtyard. In both cases this means
that more than double the number of people will get to see the
bands on offer.

In order to improve
the security and atmosphere of the festival festival-goers will
not be able to bring their own alcohol on site.
A security team will be checking all bags at the main site gate,
and anybody found carrying alcohol will be REFUSED ENTRY and banned
from attending the event. There will be an express lane at the main
gate for those without bags, so our advice is travel light and you'll
get in quicker!
We would also like to remind you that other than the licensed festival
site, Middlesbrough town centre remains an alcohol free zone and
that drinking in the street could lead to your arrest. Now that
WOULD spoil your day out for sure, so don't do it!
As in previous years there will be a range of licensed bars to cater
for anyone who still wants to have a drink while watching the show
[I.D. may be required for those under 21].
Thanks for your support in helping keep this festival safe, fun
and family-friendly.

No - you will be able
to move freely between the stages, but please note that for safety
reasons each venue, both in and outdoor, has its own limited audience
capacity, and once full will operate on a 'one in one out' system.
At times you may have to queue. Please be patient and respect the
difficult job of the venue stewards.
