Born March 4th 1944 to Albion Street, Southbank, Middlesbrough this post war fiercely working class community were the backbone, hands and lungs of industrial Teesside.
David Watson knits together the loose industrial strands of the northeast with “jaw dropping” familiarity and instant resonance. His work can be found in the public Collections of Redcar and Cleveland, Durham County Council, and the National Museum Of Football. David Watson is part of the BBC Your Paintings Archive.
