A gloriously grand and imposing venue on the junction of Albert and Corporation Roads in the very heart of Middlesbrough, the Grade-II listed Town Hall comes with bags of character thanks to a ceiling-load of chandeliers, some stunning stained glass windows and acres of wood panelling. This is where most of our big names play - and they love it!

Capacity:

Main Hall: With a seated capacity of around 1,200, tickets for all comedy shows are pre-allocated at time of booking.

The Crypt: We can seat 400 cabaret style but it's first come, first served on the seats, so please get down early. And look out for our new reservation system which means you can reserve your very own table. It's coming soon - check back here for info.

Wheelchair access: The Main Hall can accommodate up to 10 wheelchairs and the Crypt 6 wheelchairs. One free ticket is available for each companion. Please note that lifts will only hold 330 pounds - please bear this in mind if you own a heavy wheelchair.

Large parties:In general our policy is not to allow groups of more than 10 at our comedy shows, as we've found that large groups in the room can sometimes spoil everyone else's entertainment. But if you're dead keen to bring a group down, give us a call at Ten Feet Tall on 01642 247 755 and we'll see what we can do.

How to find us: Middlesbrough Town Hall is in the heart of the town centre on the corner of Albert Road and Corporation Road. Sat Nav ref: TS1 1EP

Car parking: In addition to on-street parking on Corporation and Albert Roads, there are a number of car parks within walking distance of the venue. All are free after 6pm.

By bus: It's a five minute walk from the bus station or ask the driver to let you off the closest stop to the Town Hall.

By train: Again, only a 5 minute walk. Take the Albert Road exit, turn right and head down to the junction with Corporation Road.

Getting home: If the last bus or train leaves before the end of the show, there are loads of taxi ranks around the venue.


ARC
Stockton Arts Centre

A sparkling, purpose-built arts venue, ARC has been home to Catch 22 for about five years now. And what a home! Stunning architecture, two open-plan floors of bar space and a fantastically intimate venue The Point to host our rammed-to-the-rafters comedy shows.

Capacity:

Touring shows seat 400 theatre style while our Catch 22 nights hold 350 with a mix of theatre and cabaret style seating. If you want to make sure you're sitting with your mates, you can reserve tables for a small extra cost.

Wheelchair access: All public areas have disabled and wheelchair access with disabled toilets on every floor. Wheelchair seats are reserved for all performances. Please let the staff at the Box Office know your requirements at the time of booking.

Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre

A gorgeous old theatre this one, and a building that both comedians and audiences just love. Located in the centre of Hartlepool, it's a great gig with a fantastic atmosphere, nice comfy seats and one of the coolest retro bars that we've seen in a long time.

We've got a 400 capacity with a combination of theatre and cabaret style seating. Please note that some of the cheaper tickets are officially limited view tickets although in our experience they can be a great way to get close to the action on stage!

Wheelchair access: There are dedicated spaces for up to 14 wheelchairs, one free ticket for each companion disabled toilets and an induction loop system.

Car parking: Parking is free after 6pm in the Lauder Street car park (the street next to the theatre) and in the car park of the Grand Hotel car park (again right next to the theatre on Swainson Street). Please do not park in the Engineers car park opposite the theatre.

By bus: Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre is just a short walk from the town's bus stops.

By train: The train station is less than 10 minutes walk from the venue. Check our map for directions.
